Family, Fun, and Diet Busting Foods

 Lauren and Matt came up for a quick visit this weekend and see the great Texas State Fair. Needless to say not much school work was accomplished but we had a bunch of fun. I have found this blog called  Our Best Bites. It has some great recipes that are easy to make. Since I knew I would have two great cooks coming to visit I had them help me make overnight cinnamon rolls:

After eating way too much, we rode the DART to the fair. It made for a fun but LONG day of a 12 hour adventure to the fair, Victory Park,  and an amazing Wade Bowen concert.

Corn Dogs are a must have. Just don't let anyone know I was not a big fan.

While waiting for the concert to start we utilized the all day DART pass and went and checked out Victory Park.



Wade Bowen...

We watched Josh Abbott but the real show was Mr. Wade Bowen. It was a great two hour concert and by the time it was over we were five people deep away from the stage.

 

What a great ending to a great day!
