I picked up biking again when I was in college. It took far less time to ride my bike to school than drive and try to find a parking spot. The husband(boyfriend at the time) introduced me in to off-roading trails at the state park and thus began our love for biking. Try it sometime: a much more fun way to see the neighborhoods.
Since school is complete and I have a break for a month before the internship starts, I have been try
ing to work out more and keep myself occupied while the husband is at work. I biked.
We live in the city, for now, but there are some urban trails catered toward bikers. Be impressed: I actually got my bike in my tiny car and drove to the trail only 4 miles away. After 1 hour and 20 minutes later, 20 km, and only being chased by a very small dog one time I completed the trail!

P.S. Even when ya work out wear sunscreen.I learned the hard way that you still get burned!
Have you ever biked around White Rock Lake? I used to do it when I lived there. Sad that it's a thing of the past. :(...
ReplyDeleteI have walked part of it but I really want to bike it!
