I heard on a commercial that Valentine’s Day is to celebrate US. I thought that was so true. It is not about the guy getting the girl flowers and trying to impress. It is about celebrating the love between the two of you! I love this concept because however much I love being pursued by my husband I also appreciate him and how important it is for me to “spoil” him as well.
Here is how our time went:
On Thursday J bought me a dozen roses. He gives reason for the time as the roses had not bloomed completely and would look even better in a few days. He also admits they are less expensive at this time. They were beautiful! The man has a way with flowers. He always picks out ones that turn out beautiful for an extended time.
We were supposed to o out to dinner and a show with a great couple but due to crazy baseball schedules were were unable to go. We did, however, get a second option and on Friday night we went to Ok and Winstar to see the one and only Alan Jackson. It was a great show and brought up memories of car rides with my dad growing up. SO worth it.
On Sunday I took J to Pappadeaux. I love seafood and bread pudding. when you put them together…there is nothing like it!
J is not a paper card fan. I agree with him. You love the cards but do not want to store them. He generally will throw them away after reading them. (So to all of you who spend $ on cards for him…DON”T) Instead I make the cards digitally and email them to him. He actually will save these. Below is the one I gave him this year:
I pray that you all enjoyed spending a little extra time with your significant other this week. I sure did!
Staci!
