Day Trip #2

Day trip number 2 was to Waco, TX with J's parents.  There were 3 stops that we wanted to visit. The Texas Ranger Museum, the Dr. Pepper Museum, and The Texas Sports Hall of Fame.

First stop: Texas Ranger Museum.

I am not a history gal, so I was impressed with that the Texas Rangers have done for Texas.

Next stop: Health Camp.

J and I  watch a show called Austin DayTripper. The host suggested health camp for their good hamburgers. (P.S. They are not healthy...) In order to get to the restraunt you must drive a circle intersection. (um...glad I was not driving)

Stop three: the Dr. Pepper Museum.

It was free on Saturday. (Which meant lots of PEOPLE!) It was neat to look at all the old memorabilia.

This is very true in my life.

Final stop (in Waco): Texas Sports Hall of Fame.

The reason we went...UT Tyler baseball 2007 team is in the museum for the amazing 37-1 record.
(AKA my husband is in the museum)

I learned about Randy Snow from a wheelchair tennis tourney I helped out with. I thought it was great to see his legacy here.

Yes it is Dr. Bing from the KATY HIGH SCHOOL.

I wanted to remember how truly short I am...

Unplanned stop one: see below

Unplanned stop two: Czech bakery
Well I was hungry and this is what was left when I took picture. It was delicious and I think we will have to take hwy 35 from now on.

Our trip to Waco was a blast and a fun adventure...just to add a little more joy I recieved a scholarship that evening. God is amazing and I am blessed!
