Being Blessed with Busyness

IMG_1789 - Copy

The past few weeks have been pretty busy for the two of us. High school baseball has started and summer league baseball never ended for J. He is recruiting and working the stats every other day. It is great to see him be so talented at something and have fun with it at the same time. One thing I realized through observation: Baseball guys, especially the fathers and coaches, are talkers. The stereotype of a woman leaving church talking on her way out the door while her husband waits in the car describes it perfectly. J, however, is not this way. (Thank goodness) He is a perfect listener and knows when to talk and when to just stay quiet. Something I hope to learn from him.

I have been busy as well…MIDTERMS. This week will be the last midterms I EVER have to take! Above is a sample of what I have been working on for my graduate assistant job. It is a picture of the new TWU Dallas building. (or a sign) I never thought that I would be taking so many pictures and making videos. I also am interviewing/finding information on individuals with scholarships in their name. It is so inspiring to hear the stories of these individuals who have made their mark on TWU and OT in general. The profession of OT is one of relationships and I am so blessed to be apart of it. Again it reflects God’s love and purpose in life.

I almost forgot but I found out the locations I will be for my internships. Two internships, 3 months a piece.  In the summer I  will be placed away from J about 2 hours in Longview. I am not thrilled at being away from J for 3 months but I know that God has a plan a purpose and I am thrilled for the opportunity. Pray for a living locations! The one in the fall will be in Dallas. I am thrilled about this location because it deals with brain injury and stroke. I love this population and hope to get a job at this facility, not necessarily program, one day. God is so amazing!

Life is busy but I cannot complain. We are living and loving in the JOY of our Father and taking every moment to its fullest. I absolutely love it!
