Christmas 2010

This Christmas the husband and I had the privilege of spending time with his family this year. Without the craziness of the wedding and the benefit of being able to sleep at our own apartment it was relaxing and just what we needed..
We had two Christmas cards this year: one for the computer and one to send out to family.

Tradition has it that all the THOMPSONS get together the week before Christmas and do come family time. It was great fun and I now know how to make a great cream pie and yeast rolls. My grandparents have 3 dogs, some hidden cats, and some cows. There lab Baxter was a hit and could play fetch ALL day long. The husband shot a video of him fetching:

Fun outing with an amazing friend took us to a Dallas Stars game. I myself had never been to a hockey game before. I loved it. All except the fighting part. I understand it is part of the game but a minute in a half? Is that really necessary?

There is a new addition to the Towns family. The husbands parents finally got a puppy named Brandy.. She is about a year or so old. and is so sweet and obedient!

Christmas Eve we spent time with family and ate tamales made by the neighbors!

I turned 24 this Christmas. The husband made me feel like a Princess with a dozen red roses, a gift card to Dunkin Donuts (best coffee ever) and two Adventures in Odyssey Volumes (the first two+) If you have not heard of these audio stories they are produced by Focus on the Family. I grew up listening to them in car trips and before I went to bed. I learned about Bible characters and Christian morals We hope that our kids can listen to them one day. Check out this link for more information: Adventures in Odyssey. .
Overall Christmas Season this year has been amazing. I realize how much we are truly blessed by great family and friends. As I grow older I acknowledge the struggle Mary and Joseph went through in birthing and parenting our KING. He came as a infant only to die to provide salvation to the world to all those who accept his gift. That my friend is what this season is all about. The priceless gift of Salvation that only takes acceptance!
